Abstract

We demonstrate the operation of a Ti:sapphire laser pumped at a 1-kHz repetition rate by a frequency-doubled Nd:YLF laser. We have operated this laser to amplify regeneratively 22-psec pulses from a synchronously pumped dye laser, producing up to 300 mJ of energy in a 22-psec pulse at 1 kHz.
