Control of nonreturn-to-zero signal distortion by nonlinear gain

Abstract

We derive analytical conditions for compensation of the distortion of nonreturn-to-zero pulses in a nonlinear dispersive fiber link with nonlinear gain control. We confirm the validity of the method by means of numerical simulations.
