Picosecond intracavity optical parametric oscillator

Abstract

We present a novel technique to generate picosecond pulses at 1.57 µm with kilohertz repetition rates, using an intracavity optical parametric oscillator. With this device we were able to generate up to 120-mW average power at a repetition rate of 2.5 kHz.
