Ultrafast addressing by use of spatial solitons in traveling-wave parametric amplification

Abstract

We demonstrate that single, narrow solitary beams can be locally excited in a large-beam pump field and that their position is adjustable within a 50-cell matrix by use of a 15-pJ seeding signal as an addressing control parameter.
