Abstract

A phenomenon of stimulated Raman scattering enhanced by stimulated Brillouin scattering is investigated experimentally. Also, this phenomenon is analyzed based on physical mechanisms. It is shown that the pumping effect of stimulated Brillouin scattering on backstimulated Raman scattering is a commonly existing rule regardless of the experiment conditions.
