Single-mode integrated-optical polarizers in LiNbO3 and glass waveguides

Abstract

Low-loss integrated-optical polarizers and analyzers are introduced for use with single-mode LiNbO3 and glass waveguides. Extinction ratios of 35 dB are experimentally obtained with no additional transmission losses.
